This year, we embraced the festivities with excitement and gratitude, marking the start of the Year of the Snake.

A special Chinese New Year lunch was prepared by Harrison Catering, and we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to their team for their incredible effort in preparing such a delicious and festive meal for all of us to enjoy. To add to the celebration, every student and staff member received a fortune cookie, wishing them luck and prosperity in the year ahead.

Our Year 7 students had the opportunity to dive deeper into the traditions of Chinese New Year during a special assembly. It was an enlightening experience that allowed them to learn about the rich cultural history and significance behind the celebration.

The excitement continued with a dazzling Dragon Dance performed by our talented Sixth Form students. The crowd was thrilled and filling the atmosphere with joy and energy.

To enrich the celebration further, we also hosted Tai Chi and Calligraphy workshops. These sessions provided a chance for students to explore more aspects of Chinese culture, offering both mindfulness through Tai Chi and creative expression through traditional calligraphy.

We also held a special Kung Fu Panda film screening. Through this beloved film, students had the chance to explore themes of Chinese customs, friendship, and unity, all while enjoying a fun and entertaining movie.

We look forward to another year of learning, growth, and cultural appreciation! Here’s to a prosperous and joyful Snake Year ahead!
