TUS Sixth Form Academy is an inclusive and successful sixth form which is part of The Urswick School. Our mission statement, ‘Believe and Achieve’, embodies why we maintain high expectations for all of our Sixth formers to achieve during their time at sixth form and beyond.

High Quality Teaching and Subject Specialists

All of our A levels and BTECs are taught by subject specialists with extensive experience of teaching KS5. A number of our Sixth form teachers are exam board examiners which benefits our students with their knowledge of what the examiners are expecting. 

iPads, Stationery, Textbooks and Branded Tracksuits

All our sixth formers are issued with a brand-new iPad at the start of Year 12. They are provided with all the stationery and textbooks they need for their courses. Our sixth formers also have access to the school library before, during and after school and on Saturdays. Our sports students receive a free TUS Sixth Form Academy Adidas tracksuit.

Free Hot Lunches for All Students Every Day

We are the only sixth form in the country that provides a free school lunch every day to all students. Sixth formers also have the choice to go out during lunch time. We are situated in the heart of Hackney, surrounded by a multitude of food outlets.

Our Sixth Form is graded Outstanding

In 2017, 2019 and 2020 TUS Sixth Form Academy’s ALPS Score, in respect of Year 12 AS Level and Year 13 A Level, places us in the top 10% of schools nationally. This means our Sixth Form is graded Outstanding. TUS Sixth Form is currently in the top 10% nationally for our 2024 A Level Results! 

University Offers for All of Our Students Including from Oxbridge

We have had several students receive offers from Oxford and Cambridge. All of our students receive 1:1 tailored support with their applications to university which has led to great success.
