Year 11 Prom 2024

Students arrived to school making a grand entrance on the red carpet, having their pictures taken they all looked amazing! They went into the transformed hall to take photos at the sparkling backdrop this was a huge hit and gave students the chance to capture the night with their friends before heading onto the coaches to the main event.

We arrived and had another opportunity to capture the moment, with the beautiful scenes of Canary Wharf before boarding the boat. Students were welcome onto the luxurious boat with a refreshing mint lemonade.

As the party began, we cruised up the Thames, captivated by the beautiful landmarks of London. The food and drinks provided were top-notch, and lined their stomachs ready for a fun evening. The dessert table, was especially popular. After an enjoyable meal, students took to the dance floor. The DJ did a fantastic job at keeping the energy high throughout the night. It was heart-warming to see our students who have worked hard throughout the year, let loose and enjoy themselves. The energy was fantastic and it was amazing to see everyone having such a great time, laughing, dancing, and creating unforgettable memories. One student said, “It was amazing and I loved the music that they used and how everyone was dancing and nobody was left out”.

Then we went onto our annual awards;

• Best Energy – Jenessa
• Best Dancer – Rodrick

the excitement and cheers that filled the room when names were announced is a testament to the supportive and enthusiastic spirit of this wonderful year group.

Prom 2024 was a huge success and a night that many will cherish. This is what year 11 said;

“It was the perfect way to celebrate the end of the school year and the friendships students made along the way.”

"All expectations I had about the Year 11 Prom were expertly exceeded, it was clear to see how much work the staff at Urswick had put into the event - I'm genuinely so thankful to the boat staff, teachers and students for making it such an enjoyable experience. Everyone was focused on having fun and making it a perfect evening."

Everyone had a fantastic evening and we wish our Year 11 students all the very best for the future. A big thank you to all involved for planning and attending the event.
