Black History Month - Celebrating Achievement Parent Event
Featured Article Over 90 parents, students, sixth formers and staff attended a fantastic evening event for Black History Month. Five invited speakers from the Black British community presented to the audience on the theme of Celebrating Achievement.
They came from the worlds of business, entertainment, entrepreneurship and social media and spoke about their own journeys, the challenges they had overcome and the lessons learned around resilience and determination.
The audience left both inspired and informed about the diversity of careers and paths to success open to young people today. The speakers were fantastic role models for all the students present and many stayed behind to talk to individuals privately afterwards and share personal advice.
