Sports Day 2022

Tropical temperatures did not prevent Years 8, 9 and 12 enjoying Sports Day at Lee Valley Stadium. There was fierce competition over 100m, 200m and the 4x100 relay on the track. Our young athletes also took part in the Shot Putt, High Jump and Long Jump, and the tug-of-war.

We celebrated the Commonwealth Games which are due to take place in Birmingham by giving away special ‘United by Birmingham 2022’ hats which helped protect us from the sun. Face painting added to the carnival atmosphere.

The top boy on Sports Day was Daniel Estevez Munoz with Jenessa Phillips named top girl. Numerous students ended the day with lots of medals.

The winning Family Learning Groups were 12COS, 8DRS and 9EMB. The overall trophy went to 8DRS (170 points) who beat 9EMB by just two points. Ms Dray celebrated with her Family Learning Group.
